Furthermore, the designs have faced centuries of wear and tear without any sign of damage.

The Tarxian Temples are also another example of old buildings in our world which have faced the wrath of time. The site is located in Malta and includes three different temples connected to each other. The Tarxian Temples achieved the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980 followed by conservation and restoration on an extensive scale. Parthenon is one of the ancient buildings that traces its history back to 432 BC. It is the most prominent sign of ancient Greece and its glory. There is an interesting story behind the construction of Parthenon. It is dedicated to the patron goddess of Athenian Greeks, Athena. The Parthenon is also a renowned World Heritage Site.

The Great Pyramid of Giza can never escape the attention of enthusiasts for old buildings. It is the largest among the three pyramids that stand in Giza. It is also known as the Pyramid of Khufu. The history of the Great Pyramid is also amazing as it took almost over ten years for completion. The pyramid’s construction finished in 2560 BC. Even after 3800 years after its construction, the Great Pyramid held the status of the tallest building in the world.
