The specialty of Stonehenge is that it holds a lot of mystery around it. It has left scientists and archaeologists baffled as no one could know whether it’s a ceremonial site or a big sundial.

Built along the Moscow River, the fortress has enclosed walls. The Kremlin has walls as old as 500 years which further holds four churches and five palaces. Today, the president resides in this historic monument.

Considered as one of Italy’s major tourist attractions, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a freestanding bell tower that took almost two hundred years to be built. The original height of the tower is about 60 metres. However, its lowest side is now less than 56 metres. Back in 2000, the tower was strengthened by putting soil underneath it.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is among those famous monuments of world that fall among the seven wonders of the ancient world. These pyramids are made of stone and bricks and were made using only manual labour. The purpose behind building these pyramids was to house the bodies of the pharaohs who ruled ancient Egypt. Undoubtedly, these pyramids are among the largest structures to be ever built in the world.

Built in Australia’s biggest city, the Sydney Opera House is quite famous for its roof architecture. This is because the roof of the opera house is covered with more than 1 million roof tiles that were manufactured in Sweden. The house has various performance halls along with theatre and exhibition spaces. Every week, more than 40 are staged in the Sydney Opera House.
